What might appear to be minor insults, microaggressions still communicate negative or hostile messages about a co-worker. Comments about someone’s race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion can be microaggressions. Sometimes these comments are intentional, but well-intentioned co-workers sometimes unknowingly engage in small acts, but these “micro” acts can have a Macro impact over time.
